The secret. A twist

The secret. A twist

People began running away from our community due to the recent disappearance of children in the area. Although the village hired a group of vigilantes to patrol the village morning, afternoon, and night, children kept disappearing. My father, who was a hunter and also the leader of this vigilante group, continued patrolling the community, but the incidents persisted. The king even made efforts to bring police officers into the community. These armed men patrolled the area under my father's direction, but they were unable to capture the hardened criminal. The king declared a sit-at-home order for all children until the criminal was caught. Many children disliked the idea, but they were forced to comply.

On the third day of the children's sit-at-home period, I heard my name being called outside. It was Emeka, signaling for me to come outside and play. He informed me that he had escaped from home without his parents' knowledge and wanted to play for a while before returning. That's when I introduced the game "Blind Man's Bluff." In the game, your eyes would be blindfolded, and you would search for the person around the house when you heard your name. Since Emeka was the first, he had to enter the room. I blindfolded him with a cloth and went inside the inner room to inform my dad that dinner was ready.
