Common Temptations and Challenges Faced by Men of God

To become an ordained man of God, working in the true power of God, one must overcome challenges and temptations. Although it is a pressing one, many men of God have fallen short of His glory due to succumbing to these temptations.

1. Girls: This is one of the most pressing challenges in the church today. Many men of God have lost focus due to the allure that women present. They desire to experience what other men are enjoying, which is why some churches enforce dress codes for women, such as banning trousers or short skirts. In some churches, becoming a man of God requires being married.

2. Money: Money is one of the most influential factors in a man's life, capable of either building or destroying him. As the Bible says, the love of money is the root of all evil. Money poses a significant challenge for men of God. When a man of God begins to prioritize money over God, he compromises the mission of the church, focusing on activities that generate wealth rather than on saving souls and obeying God's word. Falling for the temptation of money is detrimental. Therefore, men of God should reject greed whenever it arises.

3. Seeking more power: Many men of God fall short of God's glory due to their pursuit of "unmatched powers." They strive to be superior in terms of their vision and aim to surpass other pastors in order to attract larger congregations. They may resort to visiting shrines, rivers, forests, and other places in search of supposedly genuine powers, which often have negative consequences.

4. Promotion: In their quest for higher positions within the church, men of God sometimes shift their focus from pleasing God to pleasing influential individuals in the church. This diversion often leads pastors away from the things of God and poses a significant challenge.

To remain steadfast in the presence of God, men of God must overcome these common challenges in the church today. To do so, they need to seek His grace and strength to resist temptation. It is important to remember that while the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak.
